Does anyone have any idea whether the 2013 front and hood would simply bolt to a 2011 GT? I am thinking that the 2013 mustang front end are slightly modified 2011/2012 GT500 fronts? Would the headlights physically be the interchangable? I realize the 2013 headlights are halogen. bounce

I BELEIVE IT WILL FIT. THE HEADLIGHTS WILL ALSO HAVE TO BE CHANGED AS THEY SLANT AT A DIFFERENT ANGLE TO MATE WITH THE DIFFERENT FACIA. YOU CAN BUY THE GT 500 FRONT CLIP FOR ABOUT 3,300 BUCKS. IT INCLUDES HOOD / FACIA/ AND HEADLIGHTS PLUS A FEW MORE BITS AND PIECES TO DO THE CONVERSION.

Thanks Tommy. I am afraid changing the headlights as well may be more than I want to do. I think the GT500 kit may just be the answer. study

THATS MY POINT TIM. IM ALMOST SURE YOU WILL HAVE TO SWAP OUT THE HEADLIGHTS TO DO THE GT500 CONVERSION ALSO. I DONE THE GT 500 CONVERSION TO MY 2006 VERT AND I ALSO HAD TO SWAP OUT THE HEADLIGHTS IN THAT ALSO. ITS THE DIFFERENT SHAPE OF THE FACIA THAT MAKES YOU CHANGE THE HEADLIGHTS IN THE 2010/2013 MODELS ALSO,,IM VERY SURE.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I recieved a descent settlement with the other driver's insurance and can go back for more if needed . I have decided to stick with the OEM 2011 front and maybe a Saleen s281 Powerflow hood. Is anyone familiar with the RIM material that these hoods are made of? The hood is more money than other aftermarket units and makes me wonder why?

The 2006 headlights are different than 2011 and 2012.

I like both the hoods that you mention but the Saleen best. I am anxious to see your's. I was going to get the Saleen but decided to pursue the 2013 GT front and hood. It was mocked up on friday and the 2011 headlights needed a edge inside trimmed away but ultimately work fine. Tomorrow begins prep and paint. I could not figure out how to post pictures of it on the site? I tried earlier but apparently do not know how.

THATS GONNA BE SWEET. I TOYED WITH THE SAME IDEA FOR MY 2011, BUT SEEING AS I HAVE MY 2006 GT VERT CLONED TO THE GT 500 COMPLEATELY ALONG WITH THE SUPERCHARGER I JUST DECEIDED TO GO THE ROUTE I DID.

Thanks Tommy. I can understand that it would not make sense, as in your case, to have two mustangs so simlar in style. Coyote is a beauty as I am sure that your 06 vert is. All your mods are tasteful and well planned. This conversion has been quite a project to undertake with many parts involved but I am excited and can't wait to have it back . The stripes will have to wait for the paint to cure a bit. There is a very slight chance that it will be finished friday. I am also having the 2013 painted rocker panels installed. bounce

OH YEAH,,,I WAS GONNA SUGGEST THAT VERY POINT TO YOU TO HAVE THE PAINTED ROCKERS DONE. THAT BLACK PLASTIC WRAP AROUND THE LOWER HALF OF 2010 /2012 STANGS IS HIDEOUS. MY GOD !! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING. IM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE FINISHED PRODUCT OF YOUR CAR. I AGREE WHEN YOU SAY IT'S A BIG PROJECT TO DO THE CONVERSION BUT I CAN GUARRANTEE YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY WITH THE FINAL OUTCOME.
IM ALSO LOOKING INTO FITTING THE 2013 RESTYLED TAIL LAMPS. KAREN FROM AM HAS TOLD ME THAT AM ARE PRESENTLY WELL INTO THE MANUFACTURE END OF THINGS WITH THESE NEW RESTYLED LAMPS. MAYBE THATS SOMETHING ELSE YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK OUT.
I KNOW HOW IT FEELS HOPEING TO HAVE YOUR BABY DONE ASAP,ITS JUST ANOTHER PART OF THIS "DISEASE" WE KNOW AS MUSTANG MANIA. LOL.
